Ruj Greigarn is a Thai artist whose practice focuses on the transformation of visual language and the possibilities of image-making. He received an MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts, New York, and an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths, University of London.
Through everyday observation, Ruj became attentive to the conditions of presence and absence in both visual and non-visual experience. This sensitivity led to his sustained interest in cycles of art-making and the ways images evolve through repetition. His current interest is in examining how abstract images shift their function and meaning across different modes of viewing and contextual approaches.
Ruj’s work has been exhibited in the United States, China, and Thailand. He currently lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand.
